Un nuevo dato sobre la leyenda de Alejandro Magno en España: el manuscrito 3897 de la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid

Abstract

El autor nos presenta la relación entre el manuscrito 3897 de Andrés de Cepeda y Lira, y el Libro de Alexandre, ambos en la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid y escritos en castellano, dedicados a relatar la vida del emperador griego, Alejandro Magno. La obra de Cepeda es dedicada al duque de Osuna, propietario en su día del manuscrito, lo cual puede indicar que el autor tuvo la posibilidad de acceder a la biblioteca del duque y conocer el manuscrito y poder, de alguna manera, servirse de él para confeccionar su propio texto.

The author presents us the relationship between Andrés de Cepeda y Lira's 3897 manuscripts and the Alexandre's Book, both at the National Library of Madrid and written in Spanish, dedicated to telling the life of the Greek emperor, Alexander the Great. The work of Cepeda is dedicated to the Duke of Osuna, owner of the manuscript, which may indicate that the author had the possibility of access to the library of the Duke and know the manuscript and could, in some way, use it to build your own text.
