Observaciones sobre el título y capitulación del libro sexto de las "Etimologías" de Isidro de Sevilla

Abstract

Como han demostrado suficientemente Porzig, M. Reydellet y Díaz y Díaz, entre otros, el examen del título y capitulación de los libros que componen la gran obra del obispo hispalense es uno de los caminos más provechosos para llegar a la fijación de la manera en la que surgieron y se formaron las «Etimologías». La intención de estas breves reflexiones es aportar un grano de arena más al levantamiento de tan complicado edificio, el que proporciona la reciente elaboración de la edición crítica del libro sexto de las «Etimologías».

As have been sufficiently demonstrated by Porzig, M. Reydellet and Diaz and Diaz, among others, the consideration about the titles of the books that are part of the great work of the bishop of Seville is one of the most profitable ways to reach and fixing the way which emerged and were formed the 'Etymologies'. The intent of these brief reflections is to provide a grain of sand to rebuild so complicated building, which provides the recent drafting of the critical edition of the sixth book of "Etymologies".
