Abstract

En el marco de un estudio sobre el alcance y contenido del dominio humano sobre lo real –en particular en los pensadores del siglo XVI, un punto de inflexión decisivo entre lo medieval y lo pre-moderno–, se advierte un doble orden de cuestiones. Además del enfoque filosófico-jurídico hay una definición de dominio enmarcada en una tradición que destaca la especial dignidad otorgada al hombre (creado a imagen y semejanza de Dios), donde, el dominio sobre lo real queda vinculado a la su particular dignidad personal y, como participado, a un "telos" propio. El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido reunir los textos que permitan exponer la tesis sobre el dominio de San Alberto Magno, advertir los elementos que utiliza en su descripción, y tener en cuenta sus aportaciones al sustrato intelectual en que se apoyarán maestros posteriores.
