Clientelaje y municipio. Notas sobre la obra de Julio V. Mejía Navarrete

Abstract

Se comentan algunos de los aspectos de la sugestiva obra que el profesor Mejía Navarrete ha dedicado al tema de las relaciones entre el Estado y el municipio en el Perú. Se centra especialmente en el periodo de la "república aristocrática" (1892-1919) que descansó sobre las oligarquías y fenómenos que reflejan y condicionan actuaciones entre algunos sectores de la sociedad peruana, los poderes centrales y las municipalidades.

This text discusses some aspects of the evocative work that Professor Mejía Navarrete has devoted to the subject about the relationships between the State and the municipality in Peru. It is especially focused on the period of the "aristocratic Republic" (1892-1919) that rested on the oligarchies and the phenomena that reflect and determine actions among some sectors of the Perú society, the central authorities and the municipalities.
