Abstract

La enseñanza del español en Portugal ha experimentado una evolución extraordinaria en los últimos veinte años. Ni que decir tiene que en Portugal ha habido un constante interés por la lengua española y que el conocimiento del español, en mayor o menor grado, siempre fue un prurito de los portugueses, que se esforzaban en utilizarlo tan pronto como descubrían que su interlocutor hablaba esta lengua.

The teaching of the Spanish language in Portugal has experimented an extraordinary development in the last twenty years. Portugal has had a constant interest in the Spanish language and in the knowledge of it, in a greater or lesser degree. It was always a challenge for the Portuguese, who strove to use it as soon as they discovered that his interlocutor spoke this language.
