Conocimientos previos en anatomía y fisiología del aparato reproductor de un grupo de estudiantes de secundaria de un centro penitenciario español

Abstract

Los conocimientos previos son estructuras cognitivas que ejercen una función esencial en el proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje. El objetivo de la investigación es la detección de dichos conocimientos previos en anatomía y fisiología del aparato reproductor. Para ello se usó una metodología cuantitativa, basada en una investigación por cuestionario, desarrollada con estudiantes de 2º de Bachillerato de un Centro Penitenciario. Los resultados muestran diferencias en estos contenidos de Educación para la Salud según el tipo de Bachillerato, sexo y edad de los encuestados, concluyéndose que los estudiantes de Letras y de 38 a 47 años son los que más conocimientos previos erróneos presentan, y que los hombres y mujeres conocen mejor su propio aparato reproductor que el del sexo opuesto.

Previous knowledge is cognitive structures which play an essential role in the teaching/learning process. The objetive of this investigation is the detection of such previous knowledge in anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system. In order to do so a quantitative methodology based on an investigation by using a questionnaire which was filled in by 2nd year Bachillerato students in Spain Prison, has been used. The results show conceptual differences in these contents of Sexual‐Affective Education and Health Education depending on the kind of Bachillerato, sex and age, concluding that students doing humanities and whose age ranges from 38 to 47 are the ones who have more erroneous previous knowledge, and men and woman know better their own reproductive system than of the opposite sex.
