Las tentaciones de San Antonio en el arte contemporáneo

Abstract

Se estudian las Tentaciones de San Antonio en el arte contemporáneo. Brevemente se alude al tema desde los pintores del Renacimiento: Grünewald, El Bosco, J. Mandyn, D. Teniers, J. Wallens de Cock, Patinir. Se estudian detenidamente los cuadros de Cézanne (tres), O. Redon, Rops, Epson; de los expresionistas alemanes: Corinth, Dix, Ernst; el mejicano: Rivera; y en el arte español: Dalí, Saura, Ismael, Perellón, Nello, González Fernández, Fuentes, Franco; y el pintor italiano: Morel.

This article deals with the subject matter of the Temptations of St. Anthony in contemporary art. The theme is briefly analyzed starting from the Renaissance period as it appears in artists such as Grünewald, Bosch, J. Mandyn, D. Teniers, J. Wallens de Cock and Patinir. There is a thorough analysis of the works of Cézanne (three paintings), O. Rodon, Rops, Epson; the German expressionists Corinth, Dix, Ernst; the Mexican artist Rivera; Spanish art as represented by Dalí, Saura, Ismael, Perellón, Nello, González Fernández, Fuentes, Franco; and the Italian painter Morel.
