Reflexiones acerca de la obra de Antonio Palomino en Extremadura

Abstract

En este artículo se analizas dos óleos sobre lienzo del pintor Antonio Palomino, más conocido por su obra mural. Se trata de dos cuadros inéditos, que siguen los esquemas iconográficos y estéticos del autor. El primero se encuentra en el interior del convento de San Miguel de Trujillo. El segundo, en el convento de Santa Clara de Cáceres. La gama cromática de ambos cuadros es característica de su estilo.

In this article we analyze two oil paintings on canvas by the painter Antonio Palomino, best known for his mural work. It is about two unpublished paintings, which follow the iconographic and aesthetic schemes of the author. The first one is inside the convent of San Miguel of Trujillo. The second, in the convent of Santa Clara of Cáceres. The chromatic range of both paintings is characteristic of its style.
