Resumen: | Este trabajo analiza el tratamiento del lenguaje como cosmovisión e instrumento de poder en las grandes distopías del siglo XX: “Nosotros” de Zamjátin (1921), “Brave New World” de Huxley (1932), “1984” de Orwell (1949), “Fahrenheit 451” de Bradbury (1953), “A Clockwork Orange” de Burgess (1962), “Riddley Walker” de Hoban (1980) y en las distopías feministas “Native Tongue” de S. Haden Elguin, “The Handmaid’s Tale” de M. Atwood y “Consecuencias naturales” de E. Barceló (1994). This article analyses how language is treated as ideology and instrument of power in the great dystopias of the twentieth century: Zamjátin’s “Nosotros” (1921), Huxley’s “Brave New World” (1932), Orwell’s “1984” (1949), Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451” (1953), Burgess’ “A Clockwork Orange” (1962) or Hoban’s “Riddley Walker” (1980) and in the feminist dystopias “Native Tongue” by S. Haden Elguin, “The Handmaid’s Tale” by M. Atwood and “Consecuencias naturales” by E. Barceló (1994). |
