La rehabilitación de círculos obreros para fines escénicos: Círculo Pacense

Abstract

Este artículo está orientado a evaluar de forma crítica el proceso de conservación, rehabilitación y adaptación del Círculo Pacense como espacio para espectáculos, tema que nos permite estudiar los usos posibles de un importante conjunto de edificaciones de la cultura del ocio. Veremos cómo ha subsistido y las actuaciones que han tenido que hacerse sobre él, el criterio que se ha seguido, si este ha respetado el original o no y su actualización al siglo XXI. Reflexionamos sobre la evolución de los espacios escénicos de Extremadura, para demostrar que estos locales son necesarios y que se sigue abogando por su mantenimiento.

The intervention is oriented to critically evaluate the process of conservation, rehabilitation and adaptation of Círculo Pacense as space for shows, a topic that allows us to study the possible uses of an important set of buildings of leisure culture. We will see how he has survived and the actions that have had to be done on him, the criterion that has been followed, whether it has respected the original or not and its updating to the 21st century. We reflect on the evolution of the scenic spaces of Extremadura, to demonstrate that these premises are necessary and that it is still advocated for its maintenance.
