El género picaresco y la novela

Abstract

El artículo trata sobre las similitudes y diferencias entre el género picaresco y la novela. Tomando como ejemplo la vida del Lazarillo de Tormes se halla una diferencia entre la primera y la segunda parte, la primera más individualista aunque con menciones colectivas y la segunda bastante más cercana al relato. Hay episodios con carácter satírico y otros con fines didácticos. Se observa la evolución del personaje de una parte a otra. También se hace un recorrido por Guzmán de Alfarache y otros relatos, con la misma intención comparativa.

The article deals with the similarities and differences between the picaresque genre and the novel. Taking the life of Lazarillo de Tormes as an example, there is a difference between the first and the second part, the first more individualistic although with collective mentions and the second much closer to the story. There are episodes with satirical character and others with didactic purposes. The evolution of the character from one part to another is observed. There is also a tour of Guzmán de Alfarache and other stories, with the same comparative intention.
