Resumen: Este libro se publica con la finalidad de dar mayores claves para la preservación y revalorización de los paisajes culturales vinculados al agua en torno a las cuencas fluviales del Tajo y el Guadiana en la región extremeña, y por la colaboración entre el Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Extremadura y el grupo de investigación ARPACUR (Arte, urbanismo y patrimonio cultural moderno y contemporáneo) de la misma institución. El libro está dividido en tres apartados diferentes; cada uno de ellos se centra en distintas cuestiones vinculadas al proyecto. En el primero: «Los pueblos de colonización, urbanismo y contenido patrimonial», se analizan materias de legislación y urbanismo relacionados con los pueblos de colonización en España, pero además se presta un interés particular a la arquitectura y al arte de las iglesias y escuelas capilla de los pueblos de colonización de las Vegas Bajas del Guadiana en Extremadura. En el segundo: «Configuración de paisajes antropizados entre el Tajo y el Guadiana», se estudian las modificaciones de algunos paisajes por la acción antrópica del hombre a través de los tiempos, que llegan a configurar los cambios en el territorio, como el desarrollo de los caminos desde la antigüedad (y, sobre todo, el eje de la Vía de la Plata), la implantación de comunidades religiosas con sus conventos, o la construcción de ermitas… En el tercero: «Arte y naturaleza en torno al Museo Vostell Malpartida», se exponen distintas actuaciones de artistas contemporáneos en relación con la naturaleza y el medio social.
This book is published with the purpose of giving greater keys to the preservation and revaluation of cultural landscapes linked to water around the river basins of the Tagus and Guadiana in the Extremadura region, and for the collaboration between the Publications Service of the University of Extremadura and the ARPACUR research group (Art, urbanism and modern and contemporary cultural heritage) of the same institution. The book is divided into three different sections; Each of them focuses on different issues related to the project. In the first: "The colonization, urban planning and heritage content peoples", subjects of legislation and urban planning related to the colonization villages in Spain are analyzed, but also a particular interest is given to the architecture and art of churches and schools Chapel of the colonization villages of Las Vegas Bajas del Guadiana in Extremadura. In the second: «Configuration of anthropized landscapes between the Tagus and the Guadiana», the modifications of some landscapes are studied by the anthropic action of man through the ages, which come to configure the changes in the territory, such as the development of the roads since ancient times (and, above all, the axis of the Vía de la Plata), the establishment of religious communities with their convents, or the construction of hermitages ... In the third: «Art and nature around the Vostell Malpartida Museum», different performances by contemporary artists are presented in relation to nature and the social environment.
