El "Introvertismo" frente a la "Poesía en la calle". Una ruta neovanguardista hacia la rehumanización

Abstract

El presente artículo trata de definir el lugar ocupado por el movimiento «Introvertista» y por la revista Verbo en el panorama poético español de la Posguerra y el Mediosiglo. El movimiento liderado por José Albi quiso presentarse ante la comunidad literaria del momento como una alternativa frente a la célebre y ruidosa pugna entre Garcilaso y Espadaña, ambas envueltas en una lucha de poder por abanderar la llamada «rehumanización» de la poesía. Esta posición periférica de Verbo le llevó a reivindicarse heredera del surrealismo y a enfrentarse, en consecuencia, con formulaciones como la «Poesía Total» o la lírica social preconizada por autores como Gabriel Celaya.

The present article tries to define the place occupied by the movement «Introvertista» and by the Verbo magazine in the Spanish poetic panorama of the Postwar period and the Mediosiglo. The movement led by José Albi wanted to present himself to the literary community of the moment as an alternative to the famous and noisy struggle between Garcilaso and Espadaña, both involved in a power struggle to lead the so-called «rehumanization» of poetry. This peripheral position of Verbo led him to vindicate the surrealism and to face, consequently, with formulations such as «Poesía Total» or social lyric advocated by authors such as Gabriel Celaya.
