Environmental practices. Motivations and their influence on the level of implementation

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación es identificar y analizar las buenas prácticas medioambientales seguidas por el sector térmico en España. También es analizar si las motivaciones que llevan a los establecimientos termales a implementar prácticas ambientales influyen en su nivel de implementación. La metodología utilizada es la realización de un análisis descriptivo y de regresión de los datos obtenidos a través de un cuestionario estructurado. La población objetivo consta de 112 centros de salud, obteniendo un tamaño de muestra de 62 encuestas válidas, lo que implica una tasa de respuesta del 55,36%. Los resultados obtenidos han permitido realizar un diagnóstico ambiental del sector térmico en España, identificando las fortalezas y debilidades de la gestión ambiental, así como corroborando que las motivaciones afectan el nivel de implementación de las prácticas ambientales.

The objective of this research is to identify and analyze good environmental practices followed by the Thermal sector in Spain. It is also to analyze if the motivations that lead termal establishments to implement environmental practices influence their level of implementation. The methodology used is the performance of a descriptive and regression analysis of the data obtained through a structured questionnaire. The target population consists of 112 health resorts, obtaining a sample size of 62 valid surveys, which implies a response rate of 55.36%. The results obtained have enabled the performance of an environmental diagnosis of the Thermal sector in Spain, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of Environmental Management, as well as corroborating that motivations affect the level of implementation of environmental practices.
