Abstract

Richard Wagner nació cerca de Timisoara (Rumanía) en 1952. Perteneció a una minoría alemana, los suevos de Banat. Él era miembro de la «Aktionsgruppe Banat », que pretendía ofrecer una crítica por la izquierda del régimen de Ceausescu, hasta que fue disuelta por la Securitate. En 1987 emigró a Alemania y ahora vive en Berlín como escritor y periodista. Después de siete años, nos habla y reflexiona sobre cómo ha cambiado mucho la vida en Rumania, y también en Alemania desde la revolución.

Richard Wagner was born near Timisoara (Romania) in 1952. He belonged to the German minority, the Swabians of the Banat. He was a member of the «Aktionsgruppe Banat», which sought to provide a critique of the Ceausescu regime from the left, until it was broken up by the Securitate. He emigrated to Germany in 1987 and now lives in Berlin as a writer and journalist. After seven years he speaks to us and reflects on how far life has changed in Romania but also in Germany since the revolution.
