| Abstract: | "Os Lusíadas" y su héroe individual, Vasco da Gama, tuvieron en la Península una acogida y una repercusión singulares. Dentro del marco histórico, literario y poético peninsulares, poema y héroe iniciaron una singladura que tendrá repercusiones tanto por su influencia en la épica hispánica como por su utilización política e histórica. "Os Lusíadas" and its individual hero, Vasco da Gama, had in the Iberian Peninsula a singular welcome and repercussion. The poem and its hero gave place to a new path within the historical, literary and poetic peninsular context that will have consequences not only because of its influence in the Hispanic epic poetry but also because of its political and historical use. |
