Una aproximación al estudio del paisaje de las ermitas ubicadas entre las cuencas del Tajo y el Guadiana

Abstract

El presente trabajo trata de analizar el paisaje de las creencias conformado entre las cuencas de los ríos Tajo y Guadiana a su paso por Extremadura, a través del análisis de las ermitas. En primer lugar, hemos acudido al Archivo General de Simancas para estudiar el plano conservado de una ermita, con la finalidad de definir las características de este tipo de construcciones y su relación con el entorno. En segundo lugar, planteamos una serie de hipótesis para tratar de estudiar el paisaje de las creencias a través de esta serie de construcciones, cuya evolución analizamos a través de la amplia serie de fuentes documentales de las que disponemos. Por último, y en tercer lugar, puntualizamos los datos recogidos en dichas fuentes: Catastro de Ensenada, Tomás López, Interrogatorio de la Real Audiencia y Diccionario de Pascual

This work attempts to analyse the landscape of beliefs formed between the Tagus and Guadiana river basins along their course through Extremadura, through the analysis of hermitages. Firstly, we went to the General Archive of Simancas to examine the preserved blueprint of a hermitage, with the aim of defining the characteristics of this sort of buildings and its relationship with the surroundings. Secondly, we put forward a number of hypotheses to try to study the landscape of beliefs through this range of construction, and we analyse their evolution employing a wide range of documentary sources available to us. Thirdly and lastly, we elaborate on the data gathered from these sources: Tomás López, Interrogatorio de la Real Audiencia and Pascual Madoz’s Dictionary.
