Secundino Valladares. Vida y obra de un antropólogo humanista

Abstract

Este proyecto editorial se estructuran en dos partes fundamentales; en la primera se expone un breve obituario y un recordatorio (en forma de homilía) recordando la muerte de Secundino Valladares, acaecida en Madrid el día 4 de diciembre de 2021, con un breve itinerario vital de Secundino Valladares, a base de semblanzas sobre su persona. La segunda parte congrega sus principales aportaciones intelectuales en el ámbito de la historia social y la antropología americana, la sociolingüística, la etnografía, la Generación del 98, etc.; las cuales, siendo escuetas en su conjunto, revisten un indudable interés intelectual y constituyen el cuerpo principal de este libro.

This editorial project is structured in two main parts; the first part contains a brief obituary and a reminder (in the form of a homily) recalling the death of Secundino Valladares, which took place in Madrid on 4 December 2021, with a brief life itinerary of Secundino Valladares, based on biographical sketches of his person. The second part brings together his main intellectual contributions in the fields of social history and American anthropology, sociolinguistics, ethnography, the Generation of '98, etc., which, although brief as a whole, are of unquestionable intellectual interest and constitute the main body of this book.
