Abstract: | This paper presents a three-phase three-level neutral-point-clamped quasi-Z-source inverter as a novel solution for photovoltaic applications. The topology was derived by combining properties of the quasi-Z-source networks with those of three-level neutral-point-clamped inverters. A case study system, a steady state analysis and a novel special modulation technique for shoot-through states distribution during the whole operation period are described. Component design guidelines for a three-phase system are presented. All theoretical findings have been confirmed by simulation and experimental results. A “full SiC” experimental prototype was developed. A comprehensive study of the converter's efficiency is provided. En este artículo se presenta un inversor trifásico de tres niveles con sujeción de punto neutro y fuente cuasi-Z como solución novedosa para aplicaciones fotovoltaicas. La topología se ha obtenido combinando las propiedades de las redes de fuentes cuasi Z con las de los inversores de tres niveles con sujeción en el punto neutro. Se describen un sistema de estudio de caso, un análisis de estado estacionario y una novedosa técnica de modulación especial para la distribución de estados shoot-through durante todo el periodo de funcionamiento. Se presentan directrices de diseño de componentes para un sistema trifásico. Todas las conclusiones teóricas se han confirmado mediante simulación y resultados experimentales. Se ha desarrollado un prototipo experimental "full SiC". Se presenta un estudio exhaustivo de la eficiencia del convertidor. |
