| Abstract: | En este trabajo pretendemos estudiar la etimología de un total de cuatro topónimos que, además de designar entidades de población pertenecientes a un ámbito geográfico-administrativo concreto (la comarca gallega de Fisterra), tienen su origen último en antiguos antropónimos latinos. Para ello hemos recurrido al análisis de las atestaciones medievales de dichos topónimos y a su contraste con otras formas similares, tanto del dominio gallego-portugués como de otros territorios románicos. In this paper, we pretend to study the etymology of four place-names based on old Latin personal names referring to some villages from a given geographical and administrative circumscription: the Galician region of Fisterra. In order to do this, we analyse the presence of these place-names in medieval Galician texts and we compare them to other similar Galician and Romance place-names. |
