| Abstract: | La reja del coro de la Catedral de Plasencia fue realizada por Juan Bautista Celma en los primeros años del siglo XVII según las indicaciones de Francisco de Mora y Jacome da Trezzo y la supervisión de Nicolás de Vergara. Sustituyó a la que donó el Obispo Gutierre de Vargas Carvajal a mediados del siglo XVI. En el artículo se documenta la difícil historia de su construcción. The Plasencia Cathedral Rood Screen is the work of Juan Bautista Celma, completed in the early years of the 17th century, following Francisco de Mora’s and Jacome da Trezzo’s indications and under Nicolas de Vergara’s supervision. It replaced the previous one donated by Bishop Guitierre de Vargas Carvajal in the mid 16th century. The article documents the difficulties in its construction. |
