Estudio longitudinal sobre la pronunciación inglesa del adulto español

Abstract

El presente trabajo es fruto de un estudio longitudinal realizado entre los años 1991-1993. Entonces, el objetivo del estudio era diagnosticar los errores de pronunciación del adulto español. Después, los errores fueron clasificados y analizados frente a un modelo nativo. Este trabajo explota los resultados del estudio longitudinal y sobre todo sus implicaciones pedagógicas. Sugerencias con la finalidad de interferir con la interferencia se ofrecen, ej.: utilizar el sistema fonético de la L1 como base para adquirir sonidos de la lengua objeto de estudio, tratar el sistema fonético de la lengua objeto como si fuera nuevo. Así se pueden adquirir unidades perceptuales exactas.

The present article is the result of a longitudinal study which was realised between 1991-1993. The objective of the study then, was to diagnose pronunciation errors made by adult Spanish speakers. The informants' errors were classified and analysed against model values of a native speaker The paper exploits the findings of the longitudinal study, and above all its pedagogic implications. As a result, proposals of how to interfere with interference are offered, e.g: using the sound system of L1 as a base line against which target language sounds are built upon, treating the sound system of the target language as new. This way, learners will acquire accurate perceptua/ targets.
