| Abstract: | En este artículo se trata de una obra inédita del pintor José Bermudo Mateos (Huertas de Ánimas, Trujillo, 1853), dentro del género de la Pintura de Historia. El cuadro es un boceto de la obra «Su Majestad el rey Alfonso XII, visitando a los coléricos en Aranjuez», que representa una época triste para la historia decimonónica española. Posee un valor propagandístico para el momento, y es de un gran interés desde el punto de vista documental, pues perteneció a la colección particular de la Infanta Isabel. This paper deals with a previously unreleased painting by José Bermudo Mateos (born in Huerta de Ánimas, Trujillo, 1853) in the genre of historic painting. The work is a draft of the painting «His Majesty Alfonso XII with the choleric diseased in Aranjuez», depicting a sad era in 19th century Spain. It has great value as propaganda material, and is of great interest as a historical document, having belonged to princess Isabel. |
