| Abstract: | En el presente artículo se traza una pequeña biografía de uno de los más importantes entalladores y escultores de la ciudad de Plasencia, Alonso Hipólito, a tenor de los nuevos documentos hallados en la parroquia placentina de El Salvador. Según éstos, la talla de la Piedad que se conserva en este templo pertenece a su gubia. This paper reports on a short biography of one of the most important engravers and sculptors in the city of Plasencia, Alonso Hipólito, in the light of new documentation found in El Salvador parish. According to these data, the engraving of «La Piedad», preserved in this temple, belongs to his collection. |
