| Abstract: | La "Representación de los hacendados" de 1793 ofrece una interesante doble perspectiva de la ganadería
del virreinato de Río de la Plata. Por un lado, habla de los proyectos institucionales para la consolidación
del poder de los estancieros, como fueron el intento de implantación de la Mesta y la creación del gremio
de hacendados y por otro, permite analizar algunos aspectos claves para entender este sector económico. The "Representation of the landowners" of 1793 offers an interesting dual perspective of the livestock of the Viceroyalty of Río de la Plata. On one side, talks of institutional projects to consolidate the power of the ranchers, as were the attempt to implement the Mesta and the creation of the guild of landowners, and secondly, allows analyzing some key aspects to understand this economic sector. |
