El ciclo de vida del distrito industrial de San Vicente de Alcántara (Badajoz). El negocio del corcho

Abstract

El negocio corchero extremeño ha tendido a aglomerarse en torno a la localidad pacense de San Vicente de Alcántara (Badajoz). En este estudio nos proponemos como objetivo principal analizar el proceso histórico que ha seguido esta aglomeración industrial corchera desde la perspectiva de las aglomeraciones industriales, y más concretamente apoyándonos en las teorías del ciclo de vida de las aglomeraciones. El objetivo es comprobar si se han cumplido en el seno de esta aglomeración los factores y condicionantes que ha marcado la teoría. De forma transversal queremos conocer cuál es el estado actual de la aglomeración y como está se encuentra iniciando una fase de declive marcar las posibles soluciones para revertir esta situación habida cuenta de que no se trata de una fase de declive del sector a nivel global.

The business of the cork from Extremadura has tended to agglomerate around the town of San Vicente de Alcantara (Badajoz). In this study we propose ourselves as main objective to analyse the historical process that has followed this industrial agglomeration of the cork from the perspective of the industrial clusters, and more specifically, relying on the theories of the life cycle of the agglomerations. The objective is to check whether they have been met within this agglomeration factors and determinants, which has marked the theory. A-cross-sectional shape we want to know what the current state of the agglomeration and how this is initiating a phase of decline mark the possible solutions to reverse this situation given that it is not a phase of decline of the sector on a global level.
