| Abstract: | En este artículo se analiza el origen y desarrollo del motivo iconográfico de la Santa Faz o Verónica, que representa una impresión del retrato de Cristo sobre un velo, empleado por Francisco de Zurbarán (1598-1669) en algunos de sus cuadros, a modo de estudios de naturaleza muerta. This paper analyzes the origin and development of the iconographic motif of the Santa Faz or Veronica, which represents an impression of the portrait of Christ on a veil, used by Francisco de Zurbarán (1598-1669) in some of his paintings, by way of still life studies. |
