Abstract

La historia que pretendemos narrar sucedió en la villa de Cáceres en el siglo XVIII y podemos afirmar que en cuanto a las relaciones hombre–mujer, el Siglo de las Luces no representó progreso alguno con respecto a los anteriores. En nuestro trabajo pretendemos hacer un balance del papel de la mujer en las relaciones familiares, los límites de su capacidad de autonomía, su obligada relación con el poder dentro del seno familiar, el matrimonio, etc., a través de nuestra protagonista.

The story we intend to narrate happened in the town of Cáceres in the 18th century and we can say that in terms of male-female relations, the Enlightenment did not represent any progress with respect to the previous centuries. In our work we intend to take stock of the role of women in family relationships, the limits of their capacity for autonomy, their obligatory relationship with power within the family, marriage, etc., through our protagonist.
