Abstract

El 9 de mayo de 1929 se inauguró la Exposición Iberoamericana de Sevilla. La “estampa” es una composición en prosa muy usada en Extremadura en el primer tercio del siglo XX, emparentada con el costumbrismo decimonónico, de carácter descriptivo, aunque a veces se dotara de cierta narratividad. Antonio Reyes Huertas y Francisco Valdés fueron sus más eximios cultores. Alfonso Trajano, notable artista de obra olvidada, coetáneo y cercano a ellos, también cultivó este género, más como “apuntación” y complemento a su labor pictofotográfica que como ejercicio de estilo literario.
