El desafío tecnológico en el proceso de aprendizaje universitario. Los foros formativos

Abstract

Con el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior, se han creado nuevas expectativas sobre la mejora tecnológica y comunicativa de la formación universitaria. En este sentido con este trabajo hemos indagado sobre la utilización que hacen de los foros virtuales los estudiantes de la enseñanza superior con el objeto de conocer su experiencia, demandas y expectativas. Analizamos el uso y experiencia que tiene el alumnado con la herramienta informática referida sopesando su grado de satisfacción y empleo desde una plataforma formativa. El trabajo realizado es fruto de una investigación amplia sobre el uso de los foros virtuales en la enseñanza universitaria a distancia. En el estudio aquí recogido reunimos aportaciones relevantes de tipo empírico a través del método de encuesta con una participación de 328 alumnos de Universidad (UNED), de una media de 36 años de edad y condiciones formativas, personales y laborales muy ricas en matices. Entre las conclusiones sustanciales destacamos que los foros virtuales motivan al alumnado universitario hacia el aprendizaje y facilitan su formación e información en las materias curriculares. Además, los participantes le conceden importancia al intercambio comunicativo que le producen los foros.

The European Space of Superior Education has created new expectations about the technological, communicative improvement of the university training. In this sense, we have researched in this work on the use of the virtual forums that the students of the higher education practise in order to knowing their experience, demands, and expectations. We analyse the use and experience they have with the computer and the use of the training platform. This work is the result of a wide research the use of the virtual forums in the university teaching. We picked up significant, empirical contributions through a survey with the participation of 328 university students, average of a 36 year-old, and different conditions of training, personal situation, and labour. Among the substantial conclusions we emphasize that the virtual forums motivate to the university student body towards the learning and facilitate training and information in the subjects. In addition, the participants grant importance to the communicative exchange that the forums produce.
