| Abstract: | Este estudio presenta distintos datos documentales sobre los que apoyar la contextualización histórica del conjunto edilicio medieval de Torre de Melgarejo (Jerez de la Frontera), posibilitando la elaboración de análisis formales fundamentados en torno a esta tipología de arquitectura defensiva que articuló el territorio fronterizo del reino de Sevilla durante los siglos XIII-XV. This study presents different documentary data on which to support the historical contextualization of the medieval building complex of Torre de Melgarejo (Jerez de la Frontera), thus allowing the elaboration of formal analyzes based on this typology of defensive architecture that articulated the territory of the kingdom of Seville during the XIII-XV centuries. |
