El fondo antiguo (siglos XVI-XVIII) en la Biblioteca Central de Cáceres de la Universidad de Extremadura

Abstract

El objetivo general de nuestro trabajo ha consistido en localizar, identificar, catalogar e indizar las obras pertenecientes al fondo antiguo de los siglos XVI al XVIII de la Biblioteca Central de Cáceres. Este objetivo se ha concretado y completado con los siguientes objetivos específicos: - Realizar una descripción homologada de las obras aplicando los principios de la norma ISBD (A). - Elaborar de una base de datos, diseñar y completar los diferentes campos. - Indizar las autoridades. - Comprobar los catálogos bibliográficos españoles que contienen las obras recopiladas objeto de nuestro estudio. - Localizar en los anteriores catálogos las obras que se incluyen a texto completo. - Realizar un acercamiento cognitivo al mismo mediante el rastreo de los datos históricos conservados sobre el origen y formación del fondo y la aplicación de principios de análisis basados en la bibliometría con el fin de poner en valor dicho conjunto.

The general objective of our work consisted of locating, identifying, cataloguing and indexing the works belonging to the 16th to 18th century antiquarian collection of the Central Library of Cáceres. This objective has been specified and completed with the following specific objectives: - To carry out a standardised description of the works by applying the principles of the ISBD (A) standard. - To create a database, design and complete the different fields. - To index the authorities. - Check the Spanish bibliographic catalogues containing the collected works under study. - Locate in the aforementioned catalogues the works included in full text. - Carry out a cognitive approach to the same by tracing the preserved historical data on the origin and formation of the collection and the application of principles of analysis based on bibliometrics in order to enhance the value of this collection.
