Servicio de asesoramiento psicológico en la Universidad de Cádiz

Abstract

Son numerosas las dificultades que encuentran los universitarios en su trayectoria formativa y son variadas las respuestas que se dan desde el contexto universitario. En el ámbito Europeo, FEDORA (Forum Européen de l`Orientation Académique) es una de las diferentes iniciativas que tienen como objetivo único la orientación universitaria. Si se analizan los diversos servicios de orientación, se observan claras diferencias entre aquellos pertenecientes al ámbito americano y al europeo (Rodríguez Espinar, 1989). En general se puede hablar de dos claros y diferenciados tipos (Salmerón, 2001). El primero, el más generalizado, tiene funciones de información y orientación sobre aspectos de carácter vocacional o profesional, en clara conexión con el mundo del trabajo, como es el caso de los Career Services británicos. El segundo tipo, de orientación psicológica, presta funciones de ayuda individualizada en la resolución de problemas personales y académicos (Arco et al., 2004; Vidal et al., 2001; Gavino, 1997). Son los Counseling Center con claros paralelismos con los de las universidades norteamericanas. En esta línea, el objetivo de este trabajo es presentar una síntesis de las actividades realizadas por el Servicio de Asesoramiento Psicopedagógico de la Universidad de Cádiz desde el año 2005. El alto grado de informatización que hemos aplicado a todos los procesos de funcionamiento del servicio, nos permite disponer para este trabajo, de resultados estadísticos continuos, actualizados y fiables. Especialmente de aquellos procesos e indicadores críticos a los objetivos que perseguimos. Los datos y el análisis que presentamos se agrupan en función del tipo de actividad prestada y del carácter asistencial o preventivo de la misma.

In this line, the objective of this work is to present a synthesis of the activities carried out by the Psychopedagogical Counseling Service of the University of Cádiz since the year 2005. The high degree of computerization that we have applied to all the operating processes of the service, allows us to have for this work, continuous, updated and reliable. Especially those processes and indicators critical to the objectives we pursue. The data and analysis that we present are grouped according to the type of activity provided and the nature assistance or prevention of the same.
