La "poética de la imitación" en la poesía neolatina del Renacimiento: distinción entre "fuentes, clichés y paralelos"

Abstract

A partir del análisis de la obra póetica latina del humanista español Francisco Sánchez (Sanctius = El Brocense), en este artículo se enuncian y explican algunas reglas generales a partir de las cuales es posible establecer la diferencia entre “fuente”, “cliché” y “coincidencia lingüística fortuita”. Según dichas reglas, para poder hablar de auténtica “fuente”, es necesario que las palabras coincidentes entre un poeta renacentista y un autor antiguo cumplan los siguientes cinco requisitos: ser palabras con significado léxico pleno, formar sintagma entre ellas, ser utilizadas por poetas, ser de uso poco frecuente y ser vocablos poco comunes.

By analysing the Latin poetic work of the Spanish humanist Francisco Sánchez de las Brozas (= Sanctius), the aim of this article is to show and explain some general rules with which it is possible to establish the difference between “source”, “cliché” and “fortuitous linguistic coincidence”. According to these rules, to be able to speak of an authentic “source”, it is necessary that the coincidental words between a Renaissance author and an author of Antiquity fulfil the following five requirements: to be words with complete lexical meaning, to form a syntagm between them, to be used by poets, to be used with not much frecuency and to be not very common words.
