Opinión de los universitarios sobre el origen, situación y agentes implicados en la intervención en violencia escolar

Abstract

Conocemos de la existencia de la violencia o conflictos en nuestras escuelas, algunos aspectos sobre su etiología, y cómo estamos interviniendo, pero no cómo ven esta realidad los sujetos que han abandonado recientemente la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria. De ahí que el objeto del presente estudio sea conocer la opinión de los Universitarios utilizando una muestra de 184 sujetos, acerca de su origen, su situación actual, el papel que desempeñaron ellos mismos cuando asistían a la escuela (agresores, víctimas u observadores), y quién consideran es necesario que intervenga para eliminar este tipo de conductas. Del estudio se desprende que en su mayoría los universitarios indican que la violencia entre escolares ha aumentado respecto a cuando ellos estudiaban y que también lo hace año tras año, son menos los universitarios que indican haber sufrido o haber sido agresores, incrementándose el número que indican haber presenciado episodios de violencia. En su mayoría, respecto a la etiología consideran como principal elemento el contexto social niño, y que para su eliminación se hace necesaria la intervención conjunta de padres y docentes.

We are aware of the existence of violence or conflicts in our schools, some aspects of its etiology, and how we are intervening, but not how subjects who have recently dropped out of Compulsory Secondary Education see this reality. Hence, the purpose of this study is to know the opinion of the University students using a sample of 184 subjects, about their origin, their current situation, the role they played when they attended school (aggressors, victims or observers), and who they consider necessary to intervene to eliminate this type of behavior. From the study it can be deduced that the majority of university students indicate that violence between schoolchildren has increased compared to when they were studying and that it also does so year after year, fewer university students indicate that they have suffered or been aggressors, increasing the number that indicate having witnessed episodes of violence. For the most part, regarding etiology, they consider the social context of the child as the main element, and that for its elimination the joint intervention of parents and teachers is necessary.
