Resumen: Brasil es el sexto país con más población mayor de 60 años. El "Programa Integrar: Creando un espacio para el desarrollo humano", del Departamento de Psicología de la Universidad Federal de Paraná, atiende a cerca de 140 ancianos con el objetivo de promover la resignificación de las relaciones del anciano con la sociedad y su identidad. Adoptando el referencial de la Psicología Socio-Histórica, considera al hombre un ser activo, histórico y social constituido en el campo intersubjetivo de las experiencias sociales y su posicionamiento fuera de la actividad juzgada productiva en el capitalismo, puede llevarlo a los márgenes de la sociedad. Con el objetivo de superar la concepción ideológica evolucionista del envejecimiento, éste pasa a ser visto como una fase continuada del desarrollo, que aún puede ser productiva y de calidad, y ya no como una fase terminal, marcada por el aislamiento social, la inactividad, el conflicto entre generaciones y la negación de los valores actuales. La metodología consiste en ofrecer conferencias, talleres, cursos, seminarios, debates, grupos de discusión, grupos de estudio, eventos sociales y culturales, que promuevan el aprendizaje, la concienciación, la expresión afectiva y cognitiva, el intercambio de experiencias, la socialización y la intergeneracionalidad, favoreciendo el desarrollo continuo y dialéctico del ser humano. Resultados alcanzados: mejoras significativas en la salud y en las relaciones familiares, socialización, intergeneracionalidad, amistades duraderas y verdaderas, participación en nuevas actividades y grupos, aprendizaje de nuevas tecnologías y contenidos, cuestionamiento del mundo y de su papel en la sociedad. Resultados académicos: graduados capaces de tratar con el público anciano, interdisciplinariedad, articulación de teoría y práctica y docencia, investigación y extensión.

The “Integrar Program: creates a space for human development”, at the Department of Psychology of the Federal University of Parana, and it historic and social human beings while being in an intersubjective field of social experiments and his position out of the activity classified as productive in the world of capitalism, which may outcast men. Aiming at outdoing the evolutionary and ideological concept of aging which is considered as a continuing stage of development, both productive and qualitative, and no longer a terminal stage, characterized by social isolation, listlessness, conflict between generations, and denial of present values. This Project methodology is made up of lectures, workshops, courses, seminars and group discussions, study groups and social and cultural events which promote learning consciousness-raising, affective and cognitive expression, experience exchange, socialization and intergeneration relationship, true and longliving friendships taking part in new activities and new groups, learning about new technologies and its contents, questioning the world and man´s role in society. Academic results: graduating students who are capable of dealing with elderly people when they graduate, and also theory, practice and teaching, research and extension as well.
