dc.description.abstract | The objective of this work is to present the improvements that have been made in quasi-real-time air radioactivity concentration monitors which were initially based on overall activity determinations, by incorporating gamma spectrometry into the current prototype. To this end it was necessary to develop a careful efficiency calibration procedure for both the particulate and the gaseous fractions of the air being sampled. The work also reports the values of the minimum detectable activity calculated for different isotopes and acquisition times. | es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar las mejoras que se han introducido en los monitores de concentración de radiactividad en el aire en tiempo cuasi real, que inicialmente se basaban en determinaciones de actividad global, mediante la incorporación de la espectrometría gamma al prototipo actual. Para ello ha sido necesario desarrollar un cuidadoso procedimiento de calibración de la eficacia tanto para la fracción particulada como para la gaseosa del aire muestreado. El trabajo también informa de los valores de la actividad mínima detectable calculados para diferentes isótopos y tiempos de adquisición. | es_ES |
