Edificios y espacios de bibliotecas: producción científica registrada en Scopus y LISTA (2010-2020)

Abstract

El presente estudio analiza la productividad científica sobre edificios y espacios de bibliotecas a partir del análisis de las publicaciones indexadas en Scopus y LISTA en el periodo 2010-2020. Los datos extraídos permiten trazar el panorama general sobre trabajos de investigación de esta temática. Entre los resultados se recopilan 305 trabajos pertinentes al tema de investigación, relacionados con 284 autores, 120 revistas, 304 instituciones, 46 países y 9 idiomas. Los años más productivos son 2015 y 2016. Los temas se agrupan según estas 4 categorías, que han surgido del propio análisis: espacios, diseño y construcción, remodelación, y tendencias. Las conclusiones manifiestan una productividad científica destacada sobre edificios y espacios de bibliotecas, cuantitativamente abundante y a la vez estable con unas cifras bastante constantes a lo largo de todo el periodo. En la autoría se aprecia variedad y cierta dispersión. La coautoría está presente en un 58 % de los trabajos. El 91,4 % de las fuentes de publicación son revistas científicas, el 6,5 % actas de congresos y 1,9 % capítulos de libros. La producción científica está concentrada en instituciones de ámbito universitario. La variedad de perspectivas sobre las que se aborda el tema de los edificios y espacios bibliotecarios indica que se consolida como área de investigación.

This study analyzes the scientific productivity on library buildings and spaces based on the analysis of the publications indexed in Scopus and LISTA in the period 2010-2020. The data extracted allow us to draw the general panorama of research works on this subject. The results include 305 papers pertinent to the research topic, related to 284 authors, 120 journals, 304 institutions, 46 countries and 9 languages. The most productive years are 2015 and 2016. The topics are grouped according to these 4 categories, which have emerged from the analysis itself: spaces, design and construction, remodeling, and trends. The conclusions show an outstanding scientific productivity on buildings and library spaces, quantitatively abundant and at the same time stable with fairly constant figures throughout the period. In the authorship variety and a certain dispersion can be appreciated. Co-authorship is present in 58 % of the works. 91.4 % of the publication sources are scientific journals, 6.5 % conference proceedings and 1.9 % book chapters. Scientific production is concentrated in university-level institutions. The variety of perspectives on which the theme of library buildings and spaces is addressed indicates that it is consolidated as an area of research.
