La transición Secundaria - Universidad. Estrategia orientadora en la adolescencia

Abstract

La orientación se está convirtiendo en una actividad necesaria en todos los niveles educativos, no sólo por estar considerada como un indicador básico de calidad, sino además por proporcionar al alumnado ayuda en distintos momentos de su proceso de formación integral. En general, podemos considerar como “momentos críticos” en la vida estudiantil las transiciones entre los distintos niveles educativos. Por eso es necesaria la planificación de acciones de orientación adecuadas para facilitar el acceso a los nuevos estudios. A lo largo de su formación académica, el alumnado realizará, al menos, cinco transiciones educativas. Los dos tránsitos más relevantes, Primaria – Secundaria y Secundaria – Universidad, coinciden además con un alumnado adolescente. La segunda transición está controlada y planificada por los agentes de orientación de las instituciones afectadas. La transición hacia la Universidad, sin embargo, se encuentra en una fase inicial en cuanto a la planificación de acciones de orientación y tutorización. Esta precariedad hace necesario realizar aportaciones que colaboren en un desarrollo efectivo. Uno de los objetivos que nos planteamos en este estudio es elaborar un plan general de trabajo que puede servir para planificar acciones dentro de un Programa de Transición desde la Educación Secundaria.

The orientation is becoming a necessary activity in all levels of education, not only for being considered a key indicator of quality but also to provide assistance to students at different points in the process of integral formation. In general, we can consider as “critical moments” in student life tran- sitions between the different educational levels. It is therefore necessary to plan orientation activities required to facilitate access to further studies. Throughout their academic training, students perform at least five educational transitions. The two most important transits, Primary – Secondary School - University, agree well with a teenage student. The second transition is controlled and planned by agents targeting the institutions concerned. The transition to the University, however, is at an early stage in terms of action planning, guidance and mentoring. This precariousness is necessary to make contributions to assist in effective development. One of the objectives we established in this study is to develop a general plan of work that can be used to plan actions in a transitional program from secondary education.
