| Abstract: | Este artículo desvela la información sobre la península ibérica realizada por el cronista Laonikos Chalkokondylis, interesado en la historia de los países cristianos de Occidente. Muchas descripciones suyas están basadas en fuentes de la propia península, un hecho a destacar, pues los bizantinos realizaban descripciones exactas sólo de territorios cercanos. This article reveals the information on the Iberian Peninsula made by the chronicler Laonikos Chalkokondylis, interested in the history of the Christian countries of the West. Many of his descriptions are based on sources of the peninsula itself, a fact to be noted, as the Byzantines made exact descriptions only of nearby territories. |
