Nowadays, the distinction between rural and urban “populating” is sensitively more loaded with a lack of definition than ever, even in the most peripheral regions of the developed world. We have arrived at this situation with a considerable delay and, in certain occasions, by means of an abrupt transition from an agricultural economic reality to the reality of the services sector. This peculiarity is better known, in the past few years, as the means of the analysis of the residential variations. We are, then, faced with a peculiar model of demographic redistribution in which the urban entity is identified with the economically progressive one, either because of their advanced agrarian (irrigable), industrial or tourist implications. All in all, the differential aging becomes the key point from which we can establish future scenarios in both environments.
