Análisis contrastivo del significado prototípico del verbo español "ir" y sus equivalentes polacos

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este artículo es realizar un análisis semántico del verbo de desplazamiento español “ir” y buscar sus equivalentes polacos para mostrar que las dos lenguas se centran en diferentes aspectos del desplazamiento. La autora identifica las situaciones prototípicas que describen ambas lenguas y muestra que el verbo español “ir” es bastante general y habla de cualquier tipo de desplazamiento, mientras que el polaco añade el modo de movimiento. Por lo tanto para expresar el desplazamiento en polaco se usa o bien los verbos “iść/chodzić” que nos informan que un movimiento realizado con el uso de los pie, o bien los verbos “jechać/jeździć” que muestran que se usa un medio de transporte, pero sin especificarlo.

This article compares the meaning of the Spanish verb “ir” and its Polish equivalents. The author begins by identifying the prototype scenes described by Spanish and Polish, and shows that both languages focus on different aspects of movement. Spanish “ir” is a rather general verb meaning any kind of movement. Polish, on the other hand, specifies whether that movement is carried out with the help of feet (and therefore “iść” [single action] / “chodzić” [repeated action] are used) or of some means of transport, though not necessarily a specified one (in which case “jechać” [single action] / “jeździć” [repeated action] are used instead).
