The order of the farmland in the settled areas in the municipality of Mérida suits the traditional distribution in concentric rings. Due to the vast area and the scarce humanization of the municipality and the large number of uncultivated lands and their ploughing when needed, the cultivated lands frequently appear dispersed, far from towns and mixed with forest. Nevertheless, the city surroundings were deeply transformed and intensely cultivated. Nowadays we can know their order in detail. |
