Notas sobre una renta señorial: el arancel del portazgo de Trujillo

Abstract

Con el presente trabajo es nuestra intención dar a conocer un documento procedente de los fondos del Archivo del Monasterio de Santa María de Guadalupe, en torno al arancel del portazgo de la ciudad de Trujillo, impuesto que pasó a formar parte de las rentas del monasterio a finales del siglo XIV, en el año 1386, cuando todavía el santuario era regentado por el clero secular. Así mismo, es también nuestra intención apuntar una serie de notas que permitan ampliar los conocimientos sobre este tipo de instituciones, y valorar su protagonismo como fuente para la historia económica del siglo XV.

With this work we intend to present a document from the archives of the Monastery of St. Mary of Guadalupe, around the tariff of the city of Trujillo, a tax that became part of the income of the monastery at the end of the 14th century, in the year 1386, when the sanctuary was still run by the secular clergy. Likewise, it is also our intention to write a series of notes to expand knowledge about this type of institutions, and assess their role as a source for the economic history of the 14th century.
