La Política Agraria Común y la reconversión del campo extremeño

Abstract

La aplicación de la P.A.C. ha propiciado una reconversión del sector agrario extremeño que se ha superpuesto al proceso de cambio y modernización iniciado en los años sesenta. Los cambios más significativos se han concretado en una reordenación de los cultivos y una remodelación de la cabaña ganadera que, salvo excepciones, han tenido como referente las subvenciones comunitarias. La dependencia que tal circunstancia ha generado cercena las posibilidades de desarrollo del sector ante la liberalización creciente de los mercados agrarios.

The application of the P.A.C. has given rise to a restructuring of the Extremaduran Agrarian system which has been superimposed to the change and modernization process started in the sixties. The most significative changes have been specified in a reordination of the crops and a remodelling of the cattle ranch which, save for exceptions, have had the communitary subsidies as a referent. The dependence which such a circumstance has brought about trims the edges of the development possibilities of the sector before the growing liberalization of the agrarian markets.
