Significado y relevancia de la metapoesía de la Generación del 68

Abstract

La crítica literaria ha señalado la práctica metapoética como característica central de la Generación del 68. En ocasiones, se ha visto como una actividad endogámica y culturalista. Este artículo trata de desmontar ese prejuicio estético intentando demostrar la carga existencial que comporta el discurso metapoético de esta generación cuando enfoca cuestiones que afectan al lenguaje, a la ficción literaria, al oficio de escritor y a la propia actividad poética en nuestro tiempo. Se muestran las claves filosóficas que sustentan esta actitud y se mencionan los textos y autores más destacados.

Literary criticism has pointed to metapoetic practice as a central feature of the Generation of ’68. It has sometimes been seen as an endogamic and culturalist activity. This work tries dismantle this aesthetic prejudice by trying to demostrate the existencial load that the metapoetic discourse of this generation entails when it focuses on issues that affect language, literary fiction, the craft of writing and the poetic activity itself in our time. The philosophical keys that support this attitude are shown and the most outstanding texts and authors are mentioned.
