Traducir a Guy Vaes: "Les apparences"

Abstract

Hasta el momento Les apparences, del narrador, poeta y ensayista belga Guy Vaes, no ha sido traducida al castellano, a pesar de los numerosos aspectos que la unen al realismo mágico. Presentamos aquí una propuesta de traducción de la primera parte de esta novela, junto con una introducción donde nos interrogamos sobre cómo se inserta esta narración en la literatura fantástica en general, y en el mapa de la literatura belga francófona en particular.

Until now Les apparences, by the Belgian writer, poet and essayist Guy Vaes, hasn't been translated into Spanish, in spite of the numerous aspects that relate it to magical realism. We propase here a translation of the first part of the novel, preceded by an introduction where we explore how this work finds its place in fantasy literature in general, and particularly in the map of francophone Belgian literature.
