Abstract

Don Benito es un pueblo que ha padecido en las carnes de sus habitantes y en su caserío los desastres de la guerra por dos veces en su historia, la primera en el siglo XIX con motivo de la derrota de las fuerzas españolas a manos de los franceses y la segunda, más cercana, durante la Guerra Civil desde 1936 al 1939.
